Union Station

Fabricate and install complete exterior and interior sign program at Union Station in downtown Chicago. Sign types included channel letters, custom illuminated pylons, electronic message displays, custom hanging signs, vinyl graphics, vandal resistant maps, lightbox displays, plaques, ADA compliant signage and custom canopy sign.



e-Port @ 600 West Chicago – a 1.5 million square foot mixed-use building that includes offices, a telco hotel and residential apartments – is a perfect example of H.M. Fort Sheridan

Fort Sheridan was built in the 1880's during a period when Chicago was growing from a pioneer settlement to a thriving urban center. A large portion of land became The Town of Fort Sheridan in 1993, the first new community on the lakefront in over 100 years. H.M. Witt & Co. was selected as the sole provider of signage for this historic new development. Working closely with town planners and architects, H.M. Witt & Co. utilized a full repertoire of sign making skills to deliver the signs that represent the aspirations of this historic project. [add_gallery id=1702]

Grand Plaza

The Grand Plaza, a major mixed-use retail, residential and parking complex, is located in Chicago's thriving River North area. Bed Bath & Beyond and Whole Foods are some of The Grand Plaza’s anchor tenants. H.M. Witt & Co., worked closely with the developers for the project: U.S. Equities, Cataldo/Marovitz LLC, Magellan Development Group and Near North Properties, as well as the project architect, Loewenberg + Associates. Aurora Police Station

Interior & exterior sign system for state-of-the-art police headquarters, county court, and prison.   Project features ADA compliant sign program including direct printing on anodized aluminum, 8’ HDU sandblasted crest, stenciling, parking lot signs, vinyl, etched stainless steel and cast bronze address numbers among other items. Ongoing national provider of signage for high-end fashion retailer.  Project features LED-illuminated polished stainless steel reverse channel letters, custom etched stainless steel plaques, inset polished stainless steel floor logos and photopolymer signage.

Am Shalom

When Am Shalom Synagogue in Glencoe decided to renovate their space, the architects had an unusual signage project in hand. Part donor recognition, part ADA compliant room identification and part wayfinding, H.M. Witt & Co. was brought on board to fabricate and manage this extensive project. Glass sandblasting, brass letters, custom cast iron logos--the materials and construction methods specified by the architects ran the gamut. By teaming our leading internal project management team with our fabrication department, we developed a plan for implementing all of the designs within a quick time frame. [add_gallery id=1561]


The Private Bank

Bank conversion of 10 Chicago area locations.  Project features illuminated and non-illuminated reverse channel stainless steel letters, illuminated pylons, flat cutout aluminum letters and vinyl graphics.


Chicago Motor Speedway

Chicago Motor Speedway, the auto racing half of Sportsman’s Park, opened to the public as the facility played host to the inaugural Target Grand Prix. The dual-purpose facility contains a seven-furlong horse racing track as well as a one-mile oval auto racing track. H.M. Witt & Co. was responsible for manufacturing and installing a complete new massive signage program all in the shortest time frame imaginable. The project was a huge success with the signs installed with time to spare before the facility’s grand opening. [add_gallery id=1599]
